What they share

WHAT THE BEST
have in common.

Patterns across the 25 highest-scoring sites. The full method and the list of all 298 centers are in the Orange County review.

  1. 01

Every site on this list has its own website, and 24 of the 25 name a leasing contact with a direct phone or email, which is the detail tenant representatives look for first.

  2. 02

All 25 list available suites with square footage or say plainly that the center is full; all of them publish a site plan, and 24 show the complete tenant directory.

  3. 03

The platforms behind them vary: WordPress (7), Placewise (6), Mall Maverick (4), Regency Centers in-house (2), Custom build (2). A good result depends on what the site publishes and keeps current, more than on the platform.

  4. 04

Speed is the weakest point. The median mobile performance score among these 25 is 49 out of 100 on Google PageSpeed Insights, and only 2 score 70 or higher.

Checklist

WHAT A CENTER
site needs.

Eight of the review’s ten criteria: the things the highest-scoring sites publish, starting with what a tenant’s broker looks for first.

Shopping center websites
  1. 01

    Its own website

A domain or microsite named for the center, with its own pages for leasing and for shoppers.

  2. 02

    Available space with sizes

Each available suite and its square footage, or a dated “fully leased” note.

  3. 03

    A site plan

Where each suite sits, the anchors, pads, parking, and access.

  4. 04

    A named leasing contact

A person, a direct phone, and an email, tied to this center.

  5. 05

    The tenant directory

Every current tenant by name, which shoppers and prospective tenants both use.

  6. 06

    An open brochure

A leasing flyer that downloads without a form.

  7. 07

    An identity

A logo for the center itself, used on the site, signs, and documents.

  8. 08

    Speed on phones

Brokers and shoppers both check center sites on phones; these 25 have a median mobile performance score of 49 out of 100.

FAQ

QUESTIONS,
answered.

Anything else? Ask us directly or text Noah at (425) 233-0769.

What should a shopping center website include?

Available suites with their square footage, a site plan, a named leasing contact with a direct phone or email, the tenant directory, and a leasing brochure that opens without a form. Shoppers also use the directory, hours, and events.

Does a shopping center need its own website?

It helps. Tenants, their brokers, and shoppers search by the center’s name, and a center that appears only as a row on an owner’s or broker’s portfolio page rarely shows up for that search. A site of its own also gives the center one place to keep availability, the site plan, and the tenant directory current.

Which platforms do shopping center websites use?

Among these 25: WordPress (7), Placewise (6), Mall Maverick (4), Regency Centers in-house (2), Custom build (2). Large owners often run their own center-site platform, while smaller centers use WordPress, Squarespace, or Wix.

How were these websites chosen?

They are the 25 highest-scoring centers with their own websites in our review of 298 Orange County shopping centers, checked September 24 and 25, 2026, against ten published criteria. Endcap client properties and centers represented by Parker & Associates, Inc. were excluded.

Did Endcap design any of these websites?

No. These are third-party websites shown for review and comment. Our own shopping center work is on the Marbella Plaza and La Paz Shopping Center project pages.

How much does a shopping center website cost?

We quote each project after a short conversation, once we know the pages, content, and features it needs. The proposal lists the deliverables, schedule, and price, and we agree on it before work begins.
