FAQ

ABOUT THE
check.

Anything else? Ask us directly or text Noah at (425) 233-0769.

What does the check measure?

It runs Google’s PageSpeed Insights test on your homepage as a mid-range phone on a mobile connection, and reports four scores out of 100: performance, accessibility, best practices, and search basics. It also lists the specific problems Google found.

Is my address stored?

Endcap does not store it. Your browser sends the address directly to Google’s PageSpeed Insights service, which loads the page the same way Google’s public tool does.

Why is my score different each time?

Speed scores vary by a few points between runs because network and server conditions change. Look at the trend and at the specific issues rather than a single number.

What is a good score?

Google treats 90 or higher as good, 50 to 89 as needing improvement, and below 50 as poor. Accessibility and search scores should be close to 100 on a well-built site.

Can you fix what the check finds?

Yes. Most issues come from oversized images, heavy themes and plugins, missing labels, and page titles. Send us the results and we will reply with what we would change, and whether a redesign makes more sense than repairs.
