Learn about AI / Getting started
You’ve tried ChatGPT. What could an AI agent do next?
Chatting with AI is a useful starting point. An agent becomes useful when it can take a defined request, work with the right tools, and bring you back something you can use.
Start with a job you recognize
Imagine asking for your weekly client update. In a chat, you might paste in notes and ask for a summary. A connected workflow could gather the agreed records, prepare the update, and put the draft where you review it. An agent may help decide which information is relevant or which step to take next within the limits you set.
The useful question is what work you want prepared and what information it needs. The label “agent” alone does not tell you whether a product can do your task.
A first task to describe
“Every Friday, gather this week’s open client requests from our tracker. Summarize changes, list anything waiting on us, and prepare an email for me to review. Link each item to its record. If information is missing, flag it.”
This is an illustrative setup brief. The tools and connections would depend on the organization.
What needs to be set up
- The trigger: a schedule, a new inquiry, or a request from someone on your team.
- The information: approved records, documents, or conversations, with the access the task needs.
- The result: an email draft, report, task list, or prepared record in a place your team already uses.
- The handoff: actions that need approval, situations that need a person, and who sees a failure.
You may already own part of the answer
An existing tool may already have the feature you need. A simple automation may handle the repeatable steps. A connected agent may help when the work needs interpretation across several steps. We help work through those choices before committing to a build.
Try it on a small, complete task
Choose a recurring job with a result you can check. Compare several normal examples and at least one awkward one against how you handle the work today. Include the time spent correcting the result. Once it is useful and understandable to the team, decide whether to expand it.
